What is the NEET exam?

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All-India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS programmes in Indian medical and dental colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Before NTA, which is an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation, the test was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The examination, which offers 90,000 seats in MBBS and BDS Colleges of India, is conducted in the month of May every year.

A candidate who wishes to study medical courses needs to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in Class 10th and 12th and must have passed these subjects. The candidate has to show their passing certificate at the time of the counseling round. Marks in Mathematics are not considered in NEET-undergraduate exam (NEET-UG).

Other than undergraduate courses, NTA also administers NEET post-graduation (NEET-PG), an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG diploma courses.

The NEET exam is conducted online and in 11 languages — English, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Marathi, Urdu Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, and Assamese. The duration of the examination is three hours and a candidate needs to answer 180 questions. The exam paper is divided into three sections — Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).

As soon as NEET results are announced, NTA declares the counselling process too. The schedule for NEET counselling gets uploaded on the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website.

NEET 2021 Application Form has been started from 13th July 2021. NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is a national level entrance examination which is conducted only twice in a year.

Taking reference from the previous year's cutoff marks, a good NEET score can range anywhere between 720 - 147 for MBBS admissions. What is a good rank in NEET? Students must score at least 670 – 690 marks to feature in the list of top 100 NEET 2020 AIQ.

What is a good rank or score for NEET-UG 2021? As many candidates scored 720 marks in the NEET 2020 examination and competition soaring high, candidates are wondering what is considered a good rank in NEET 2021 so that they can get into an MBBS/BDS college of their choice. NEET 2021 new exam date has been released. The exam will be held on 12th September 2021.

If you are also planning to appear in NEET 2021 then you must be wondering the same.

Consider these tips to crack NEET if you are targeting the upcoming medical tests:

1. Familiarize yourself with the syllabus

To achieve the best results, you need to know the exact location of the NEET syllabus. Focus on the most important topics and cut out the extra information. The NEET Exam also covers the NCERT syllabus. It would be very helpful if there were common chapters as you would not have to prepare them separately. This will allow you to concentrate on the parts not covered.

2. Study materials of high quality

It can be confusing to select the right study material for NEET exam preparation. You can choose the right one, though, with the help of teachers and online expert assistance. You can contact and coordinate with students who have already taken the NEET exam and find out which books they used. Examine the interviews of candidates who appeared in the NEET Exam for an idea about their preparation style. To improve your speed and accuracy, you should prepare notes for NEET, solve previous year's question papers, and take mock tests.

3. Develop a realistic schedule

During your preparation for NEET, you can stay focused on your goal by following a fixed schedule. A well-structured schedule will help you organize your NEET preparation since you'll be completing two years of the syllabus.

Follow your schedule strictly. Don't forget to be flexible as time goes on. Here are some tips for preparing for NEET:

    1) You should get a calendar and a diary

    2) Set priorities

    3) Schedule long study sessions

      4) Taking care of your health

        5) Avoid sleeping while studying

          6) Stay well-rested

          4. Take notes while learning

Memory skills can be improved in this way. Keeping a diary and revising it later is the best way to know how to crack NEET. When taking notes, always be clear. This will be useful when revising. Revising is easy.

          5. Regularly revise

Even if you have mastered a particular topic, concept, chapter, or subject, you should revise regularly. Revision is crucial for your NEET preparation.

Make sure to emphasize weak and critical areas when revising

          6. Eat a healthy diet

The candidate should be strong during the examination. For physical and mental fitness, Aspirants should follow a healthy diet. Provide your brain with the nutrients it needs by eating food containing iron and vitamin B.

          7. Take regular study breaks

As humans, we need rest in order to get back to work efficiently. Because of this, it is essential to realize that one cannot maintain an optimal level of concentration without taking a break in order to recover. According to experts, the human mind is able to concentrate for a certain period of time. Preparation over a long period of time will stress the mind and reduce concentration. Students take regular breaks to refresh their minds. You can take a break by going for a ten-minute walk, going to the gym, chatting with friends, or taking a small nap.

          8. Exercise properly

Regular exercise reduces stress. The students reduce their stress by walking, swimming, running, etc. to release natural feel-good chemicals to reduce their minds. You'll be happier and more productive as a result. Eat healthy foods instead of junk food. Exercise for better concentration by meditating or doing yoga.

          9. Take mock tests to practice

In about 180 minutes, all candidates who are taking the NEET Exam need to finish 180 questions. Candidates can give each question a maximum of one minute. Time management is essential for the exam. Therefore, keep it in mind as a time limit and practice test papers regularly to keep your time management in check.

          10. Positivity is the key to success

The effectiveness of your learning process is determined by your attitude. If you have a negative attitude and keep telling yourself that you cannot do it, then it would not help you to learn. You will have difficulties learning if you have a negative attitude. As soon as you begin to think positively, your creativity will improve. You will also feel less anxious and more open to new ideas if you adopt the right mindset.
