01. Limit your typeface choices 

For simple and effective graphic design, select typefaces that are easy to read for headings, subtitles and body text. You should stick to a simple collection of fonts since the eye has difficulty scanning multiple typefaces at once. Based on the Aileron family of typefaces, this design uses variants of a geometric San's serif typeface with a modern aesthetic. 

02. Be comfortable with scale 

When highlighting type, shapes, or compositional features, scale should be applied. When enhancing this technique, use appropriate colors and make sure the typeface is readable in large sizes.  

03. Leave enough space between other elements. 

Fill dead space with letter spacing, align text, or condense words that take up too much space. Letter spacing shouldn't be reduced so much that it's impossible to read or increased so much that the letters are too far apart. 

05. Maintain clear, accurate and concise imagery. 

Make the design clear and easy to read by setting the background image's brightness higher than the text color. Applying black or white text over an image will create a strong 'cut-out' effect. 

06. Make your design moody with fonts. 

Select a typeface that fits the message in your design. It is usually more welcoming when a typeface has rounded edges; Quicksand is used here; geometric fonts have hard edges (sans serifs); while serifs have an elegant, sophisticated look.
