[Non-verbal communication is a sort of nonverbal correspondence where actual practices, instead of words, are utilized to communicate or pass on the data. Such conduct incorporates looks, body pose, signals, eye development, contact and the utilization of room. Non-verbal communication exists in the two creatures and people, yet this article centers around understandings of human non-verbal communication. It is otherwise called kinesics.
In spite of the fact that non-verbal communication is a significant piece of correspondence, its vast majority occurs without cognizant mindfulness.
Body "language" should not be mistaken for gesture based communication, as communications via gestures are dialects and have their own perplexing sentence structure frameworks, just as having the option to show the principal properties that exist in all languages.[1][2] Body language, then again, doesn't have a punctuation framework and should be deciphered extensively, rather than having a flat out importance comparing with a specific development, so it's anything but a language,[3] and is basically named as a "language" because of mainstream society.
In a general public, there are settled upon translations of specific conduct. Translations might change from one country to another, or culture to culture. On this note, there is contention on whether non-verbal communication is widespread. Non-verbal communication, a subset of nonverbal correspondence, supplements verbal correspondence in friendly association. Truth be told a few analysts infer that nonverbal correspondence represents most of data sent during relational interactions.[4] It assists with building up the connection between two individuals and directs collaboration, yet can be equivocal.]

The ability to communicate in the workplace is crucial. A sales pitch or a boardroom meeting, people don't just listen to what you say.
Your smile, facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, and posture are also observed as nonverbal cues.
They also pay attention to your body language.
Body language accounts for more than half of communication.
WHY IS BODY LANGUAGE IMPORTANT?
What does body language mean? In communication, body language involves nonverbal cues such as body movements, facial expressions, tone of voice, and gestures.
Communication requires the ability to read these signs. The purpose of body language is to assist us in deciphering what the speaker is saying. Additionally, body language assists us in interpreting emotions and moods of others.
Apart from this, it helps us to understand how people react to what we say and how we say it.
CORRELATION BETWEEN BODY LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION
Albert Mehrabian, a body language expert, concluded in a 1981 study that words, body language, and tone of voice account for 7%, 55%, and 38% of effective communication, respectively.
Essentially, our brains pay more attention to body language and voice tone than actual words. This study shows the brain's role in nonverbal communication and the importance of body language in communication.
With only 7% of our attention on verbal communication, it’s important to use gestures, facial expressions and other nonverbal cues carefully to communicate.
The following are six ways in which you can empower and engage your students using these cues.
1. Contact with the eyes
Keeping our students focused is one of the best ways to connect with them. Focus on one student for about 15-30 seconds before moving on to another. When you speak directly to your students, they are more likely to pay attention. They are also more likely to feel seen.
2. Use gestures and be expressive
Encourage students to participate in the lesson. Engage their minds. Adding memorable nonverbal cues to a verbal presentation increases retention rates.
3. Don't close your arms
An open body position indicates invitation. The position encourages new ideas and brainstorming. In addition, it draws students' attention to you, so they will be more receptive to what you have to say.
4. Pray with your whole body
Don't forget to nod. A thumbs up is always appreciated! Excite yourself by raising your hands. Demonstrate to them that they are on the right path and they will feel more confident about continuing down it.
5. Take a moment to think
Tilt your head and hold your chin. Your aim is to get the student to ponder the question. Curiosity is sparked.
6. Smile
This is of the utmost importance. They connect best with teachers who are present with them, who are passionate about learning and who want to share that passion.
We can become more effective communicators of knowledge if we are aware of nonverbal communication in the classroom. We will also develop the ability to receive and send signals that reinforce learning, and open our eyes to signals that hinder it.
