*What is Basic Dance?
The basic step, basic figure, basic movement, basic pattern, or simply basic is the Dance Move that defines the character of a particular dance. It sets the rhythm of the dance. it is the default move to which a dancer returns, when not performing any other moves. More formally, it can be defined as a "rhythmic step pattern" in the form of a "consistent and recurring grouping of weight changes" between the feet (as well as certain moves that do not involve complete changes of weight, as when one taps, kicks, or points a foot) which is rhythmic and repeated for the length of a song. For some dances, it is sufficient to know the basic step performed in different handholds and dance positions to enjoy it socially.
*Before a dance, it’s important to take some time to give your body a proper warm-up. Warming up is a series of activities that gradually increase your heart rate and blood flow to muscles. Two primary reasons for warming up are to reduce the risk of injury and gradually prepare your body for the activity to come..
*The Best Ways to Warm Up Before Dance Class
1. Brisk walking.
2. Jumping jacks or small jumps in place.
3. Light jogging, marching, prancing, skipping (around the room or in place)
4. Lunges across the floor or a large Charleston step.
5. Push-Ups.

Tips for beginners in dancing:
Discover different types of dance
If you want to learn to dance, there are so many genres of dance that you may be unsure of which to choose. A good approach is to try a variety of styles. Practicing one style of dancing for many years will take many years of practice, but learning a variety of styles will take less time and may actually be more beneficial.
Learn about a variety of styles rather than focusing on just one. You may dance to anything from breakdance to ballroom at a variety of events.
Find your rhythm by listening to the music
A beat or rhythm inspires people to dance. At its most basic, a dance begins as a foot tap to a catchy rhythm, and when taken further, it becomes a dance.
Dancers need to be able to feel the music and express that feeling with their bodies. Beginner dancers must become familiar with the rhythm, so get your hands on some music related to the style you choose to dance and listen to it whenever possible. Try a few basic steps in the comfort of your own home to build up your confidence.
Don't look down while you dance, but up
Staring at your own feet is a common error made by beginner dancers while learning a new dance. It is quite natural to want to do this, but it should be avoided. Dancing is not about seeing, but rather about feeling.
Rather than staring at your feet, try to remember how the steps feel with the shifting of your weight and changes in direction registering in your mind so that you remember the patterns that make up the dance. When you're dancing with a partner, focus on your partner's basic movements and try to feel the moves.
Partner up with different people
Dancing with a partner or friend is quite natural when you first start. There is a certain degree of comfort, but it also brings staleness. You can learn a lot from dancing with different people, especially when you are just starting to learn the dance. Their interpretations of the music will open your eyes to a new way of looking at the dance.
There might be concerns that you'll end up dancing with someone who is more advanced than you are, or that the other person has 'two left feet'. But dancing with someone else gives you the chance to practice either being a sensitive leader or a conscientious follower. Use each dance as an opportunity to learn.
Have fun dancing and relax
Dancing should be fun, not something to get worked up about. Dance is meant to lower your blood pressure, not raise it, so don't worry.
If you are both attentive to one another and at least give the impression you are enjoying yourselves, you can usually have an enjoyable dance with anyone, regardless of how many or how few moves you have in your locker. Relax and enjoy yourself.
